Much too Hot at Farnborough 2006

More brush fires breaking out between here and London and the temperature showing 41 Celsius at Brimpton airfield near Farnborough today as we prepared for our detail over the airshow.

The heat meant that the density altitude at ground level was equivalent to 2000 feet and the aircraft struggled in the thin hot air to do its job

Picking-up the big Dubai Aerospace banner was equally difficult with the buffeting the aircraft received in the hot air close to the ground.
