A Wedding and a Proposal on a Wet Afternoon

Two different scenes on a very blustery September afternoon.

A banner for the wedding of Chris and Rachel at the Ashdown Country Club and Marijus proposes to Viktoria at Leeds Castle in Kent.

A good result all round in trying weather conditions.

Gal Loves Al

Tonight's the start of the Olympic Games and a very special celebration over at Hoath this evening, a wedding reception and a special message that "Gal Loves Al' from their friend Steve.

Congratulations Steph & Christian

A wedding at Aynhoe Park today, a fabulous sunny day in May but with very gusty wind conditions.

It took three attempts to get the banner flying from Turweston but in the end and a little late, we managed to put the aircraft right over the wedding reception at the right time at this spectacular wedding venue near Banbury.

It all worked-out in the end and as I commented to air traffic control when I finally managed to get the banner airborne without a problem: "Miracles do happen."

A Deal Castle Wedding

A nice wedding happening at Deal castle this afternoon. I was temporarily confused through not knowing that Deal Castle and Walmer Castle are very close and look almost identical from the air. After several minutes circling the latter, where nothing obvious was happening, I finally arrived at the former, where the reception had just started.

We were lucky with the weather too.

So that's Leeds Castle last Friday and Deal Castle today. Seem to be making a habit of fortifications!

On Season - Out of Season

Almost forgot to post any updates! As this is an occasional diary, we only do it from time to time when our feet our on the ground.

We had the TUC conference and two London Premier League football matches last week, today, there's a flight for a night club over Liverpool and over next weekend, we are in the north for two more Premier football matches for a client.

Add to this, the Labour Party conference in Bournemouth on Monday and the Conservative Party conference in Blackpool - I wonder why nobody wants the LibDems?) and you can see that even with the season ended we are quite busy; Battle of Britain day last Sunday and an EU protest march this weekend too!

While aircraft advertising peaks in August, as you might expect, it still works well at other times of the year if the focus is correct and the weather is good; football and party conferences being two excellent examples. And there's still all the weddings and marriage proposals too!
